At Mirror Lake Inn, you won’t find any unexpected resort fees. All our amenities are complimentary with your stay. Unlike many resorts, we don’t charge resort fees, and only guests are allowed to use the property.

    Go ahead – take a dip in our 60-foot lap pool. It’s designed in the style of an Adirondack swimming hole, so you feel like you’re swimming in the wild, without even leaving the Inn.  After a day on the slopes or trails, relax in the whirlpool and sauna.

    Relax and enjoy our 50-foot outdoor pool; it’s a spectacular setting overlooking Mirror Lake and the High Peaks. There’s even a kiddie pool for the smaller ones in the family.

  • Boating


    Paddle across beautiful Mirror Lake. We offer canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and rowboats on a first-come, first-served basis. Boats are generally available between Memorial Day and Columbus Day, but this is completely determined by water temperature and weather.

  • Afternoon Tea

    We welcome our guests with homemade chocolate chip cookies – it’s a long-standing family tradition at Mirror Lake Inn. There’s always a supply at the Front Desk, but if you like, take a break in your day and stop by the living room from 3:30 – 4:30pm for afternoon tea and chocolate chip cookies.

    Enjoy a perfect day on the lake. Lounge on the beach or swim in the pristine waters of Mirror Lake, with the High Peaks as your backdrop.

    Are you an expert skater or hockey aficionado? Skaters of all levels love trying out our two maintained rinks on Mirror Lake, right in front of The Cottage Café. Take a break with a hot toddy or hot chocolate by the woodstove up top at The Cottage.

  • Complimentary Snowshoes

    Take to the trails. Just stop by the Front Desk, and we’ll lend you a pair of snowshoes and provide trail recommendations. (One of our favorite routes is just stepping out our front door and heading across Mirror Lake.)

  • Fitness Center

    Our fully equipped work-out center has two treadmills, three elliptical trainers, three bikes, resistance weights, and free weights – everything you need for an optimum work-out.

  • Tennis Courts

    Don’t worry about bringing your rackets. We have complimentary rackets and balls right at the Front Desk.

    Yes, Lake Placid is the only U.S. town to host a Winter Olympics twice. But did you know the Olympic venues are still in full swing and many are available for you to try, even in the summer? Slide the bobsled, skeleton or luge tracks, run the biathlon course, ski the Olympic Mountain of Whiteface or even ski jump!

    It’s a perfect day. Start your morning with a 2.7-mile walk around Mirror Lake, then find yourself window shopping on Main Street. There are charming boutiques and outlets, and there’s even a small-town movie theatre just two blocks from the Inn.

  • Biking

    This is a mountain biker’s or cycler’s paradise, and the trails and routes are endless. Cycle around the village, out to Lake Placid Lake, or get serious and ride the Ironman course.

  • Paddling


    The Adirondacks offer some of the most pristine waters in the country. Take out one of our boats on Mirror Lake or choose from the many lakes and rivers nearby.
