Weekend of Adirondack Style at the Mirror Lake Inn

The Mirror Lake Inn presents the Weekend of Adirondack Style October 26-28.

Lake Placid, N.Y. - The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, the Adirondack's premier luxury lakefront resort, presents the Weekend of Adirondack Style.  Nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, the Mirror Lake Inn invites guests to enjoy the beauty and culture of the Adirondacks.  

In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, American's most prominent and wealthy families built expansive great camps as summer homes in the Adirondacks.  They used the natural resources to build and decorate their homes; from this came Adirondack style.  The original camps were sophisticated, luxurious and meticulously detailed.  Today, Adirondack style is still used to decorate homes in the area and across the country.  

The weekend is designed to allow guests to explore every aspect of Adirondack living and style.  Guests will learn about how to incorporate Adirondack building and decorating into their own home as well as how to host and prepare an Adirondack style brunch.  The weekend includes:

"    Seminar on Adirondack building or Adirondack decorating
"    Guided tour of the Great Camp, White Pines or antiquing

"    Breakfast each morning including Sunday brunch complete with cooking demonstrations
