Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa Voted One of Top 100 Resorts by Conde Nast Readers

Annual Readers' Choice Best in the World! Results Revealed

Lake Placid, N.Y., (October 26, 2010) - The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa is pleased to announce it has been selected as one of the Top 100 Resorts, Mainland U.S. Large Resorts, in the annual poll. The awards appear in the November issue of Conde Nast Traveler, on newsstands now. Conde Nast Traveler recently revealed the names of the deserving winners of their prestigious 2010 Readers' Choice awards, recognizing the best in the travel business.

Additionally from Lake Placid, The Whiteface Lodge made the list. The two Lake Placid resorts are among only three in New York state, the third being the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. This is the third year the Mirror Lake Inn has received this recognition.  

This year marks the 23rd year the magazine has conducted the Readers' Choice Awards. For 2010, nearly 26,000 readers participated, scoring resorts on categories including activities and facilities, food and dining, location, overall design, rooms and service.

The annual Conde Nast Readers' Choice Awards are based on the opinions of Conde Nast Traveler readers, who in addition to resorts, rated hotels, transportation, cities, properties and islands all over the world.  A full list of winners in every category can be found on the magazine's website http://www.cntraveler.com/.

The Mirror Lake Inn continues to acquire a reputation of excellence with accolades from leading hospitality organizations. In addition to the most recent Readers' Choice Award, in April 2010 the Inn was selected as one of Conde Nast Traveler's Top 240 Spas worldwide, a Top 50 Ski Hotel in December last year, and the Inn appeared in the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List, a directory of the world's best hotels and resorts, in 2009, 2008.

In August, the Mirror Lake Inn was voted one of Travel & Leisure's Top 50 Resorts in the U.S./Canada, while in January the Inn was selected as one of the Travel & Leisure 500 World's Best.
