Mirror Lake Inn Named to Conde Nast Traveler's Top 50 for Second Year in a Row
Ranked as the top ski hotel in eastern North 0America
Lake Placid, N.Y. – The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, the Adirondack’s premier luxury lakefront resort, has been named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 50 Ski Hotels in North America for the second consecutive year. The magazine, hitting newsstands now, ranks the Mirror Lake Inn highest in eastern North America.
The results of the 11th annual reader’s poll appear in the December issue of Condé Nast Traveler. According to the publication’s readers, Whiteface Mountain and the Mirror Lake Inn are among the “2006 Best Places to Ski & Stay in North America.”
This year the inn placed 11th overall. It excelled in the rooms, facilities, service and dining/food categories where it placed 5th, 9th, 12th and 16th respectively. Of the 50 properties listed only five properties in eastern North America were honored. The Mirror Lake Inn was ranked number one overall and number one in the categories of service, rooms and facilities in the eastern North America.

Readers were asked to evaluate 229 North American ski hotels that they had visited in the past three years. The independent firm, Millard Group, Inc. executed the survey.
