The Mirror Lake Inn is offering special touches and packages that bring families together and reduce stress during the hectic holiday season.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y., November 26, 2007 – The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, Lake Placid’s only Four Diamond lakefront resort is offering special touches and packages that bring families together and reduce stress during the hectic holiday season.

Lake Placid is truly a winter wonderland and the Mirror Lake Inn is its palace.  This extraordinary environment of one hundred thousand twinkling lights, elegant Christmas decorations and wood burning fireplaces, is the perfect setting to make memories and establish holiday traditions.

The Inn is offering the following holiday packages:

•    Holiday Shopping Package – Give yourself the perfect gift and take a different approach to holiday shopping this year by shopping at Lake Placid’s exclusive boutiques and one-of-a-kind craft stores with a 10-15% discount.  After shopping, take yourself away and leave the stress of the holidays behind while relaxing at the luxurious spa then later enjoy a glass of champagne while the Inn wraps your gifts.  This package also includes personal shopping, luxury overnight accommodations and breakfast for two at The View.  Offered Nov. 25 – Dec. 22, 2007.
•    Santa Turndown Service – Santa and Mrs. Claus will be spending a well-earned pre-Christmas getaway at the Mirror Lake Inn.  From Dec. 7 – 20, 2007, Santa will greet children, take their Christmas lists, share milk and cookies, and tuck them into bed. 
•    Children’s Holiday Package – This program includes planned activities such as: snow cave building, Adirondack crafts as well as music and magic shows.  Offered Dec. 24, 2007 – Jan. 1, 2008.

Cozy and warm all year round, the Mirror Lake Inn turns on the magic during the holidays with eight real, themed Christmas trees throughout the Inn.  Some of the special touches include a winter bonfire with marshmallows and a private skating rink on Mirror Lake with a steamy mug of hot chocolate.
