Local orientation meeting set for November 22Lake Placid, NY (November 3, 2010) - On December 10-12, 2010, the village of Lake Placid will magically come alive with a weekend of holiday festivities during the 3rd annual Holiday Village Stroll. The Holiday Village Stroll Committee has been busy planning this destination weekend for Lake Placid and is very pleased with the increase in local participation and support for the 2010 edition.
As the annual event approaches, the Holiday Village Stroll Committee is offering a series of brief orientation meetings to discuss the weekend's festivities. Hosted by Milano North Restaurant, information sessions will be held Monday, Nov. 22, at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. The meetings will last approximately thirty minutes and will provide local businesses, employees and community members with details on scheduled events and activities. Additionally, day passes to Whiteface Mountain will be given away to a few lucky winners at each meeting.
Each year, the Holiday Village Stroll gains more momentum, incorporating new activities, decorations and building wider community involvement. This winter, the event features new webpages and domain (www.holidayvillagestroll.com), as well as a logo, social media presence and PR effort. Price Chopper, Adworkshop, regional Office of Sustainable Tourism/Lake Placid CVB/, State Farm Insurance, Lake Placid Business Association, and Coca-Cola are sponsors of this year's event.
