Great Gardens & Landscaping Symposium returns to the Mirror Lake Inn
Learn from panel of gardening experts
Lake Placid, N.Y. – The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, the Adirondack’s premier luxury lakefront resort, is once again hosting the Fourth Annual Great Gardens & Landscaping Symposium. The gardening weekend will take place April 20-22, 2007.
Attendees will learn how to design and care for low-maintenance, ever blooming, perennial gardens from event organizer and gardening expert Kerry Mendez. Mendez is a professional gardener, speaker and owner of Perennially Yours, who has helped thousands of gardeners improve their perennial gardens. She has also hosted a garden segment on television in the Albany area and has been featured in national gardening magazines and on HGTV.
The weekend event also includes sessions with other gardening experts, such as: Paul Tukey, editor of People, Places & Plants; Keith Davitt, author of five gardening books; Ruah Donnelly, recipient of the silver Medal of Honor from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society; Glen Seibert, president of the Greenman Group; and Ann Whitman, author of four gardening books.
The Great Gardens Welcome Reception will kick off the weekend on Friday evening, April 20, allowing attendees to meet each other and the speakers. After a gourmet breakfast buffet the next morning, participants will enjoy presentations from gardening experts throughout the day as well as lunch at the inn. In the evening guests are free to explore Lake Placid or simply enjoy the comforts of the inn.
The Great Gardens & Landscaping Symposium is being offered for one night or two. A one night package is priced at $320 for two people and $215 for one. It includes the Friday night reception, accommodations, as well as breakfast, lunch, and six seminars on Saturday. The two night package is $470 for two people and $345 for one. This package is similar to the one night package, but also includes Saturday night accommodations and breakfast Sunday morning.
