Chef Kirk Fiore Joins The View Restaurant at the Mirror Lake Inn
Mirror Lake Inn Welcomes Chef de Cuisine Kirk Fiore to the culinary team
The View Restaurant at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa announces the addition of Chef de Cuisine Kirk Fiore to the culinary team. Fiore is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute and Colorado Mountain College.
Prior to the Mirror Lake Inn, Fiore held the position of Banquet Chef at The Essex in Essex Junction and worked as a Chef Instructor at the New England Culinary Institute for several years.
Fiore brings a wealth of experience to his new post, having co-owned a Burlington-based restaurant and catering company-Sugarsnap LLC- that focused on creating great house made foods using locally produced ingredients. The company sourced 85% local products as well as what was produced on the business' three-acre farm.
Fiore, along with The View's entire culinary team, will continue to work with a variety of local and regional meat, cheese and vegetable producers and processors to obtain the best products. Together the team reviews the practices and techniques employed in local food production, actually visiting farms and inspecting products and evaluating quality standards. Acquiring the best products guarantees guests a memorable, flavorful and healthy dining experience that they have come to expect at The View.
Fiore resides in Keene Valley with his wife, Katie, and two children, Willem and Lidia.
