Adirondack Festival of Food & Wine Returns to the Mirror Lake Inn

Chefs and vintners gather for Lake Placid food festival

LAKE PLACID, N.Y., October 26, 2009 - The Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa, Lake Placid's premier luxury lakefront resort, will host the Adirondack Festival of Food & Wine on April , 2010.  In its fifth year, the event brings together top chefs and vintners from throughout the country.

This year it will include:

Thursday

6- 7:30 "A Night at the Bistro"

• Tapas station, cheese station featuring local and VT cheeses and homemade bread

 

Friday

• Adirondack breakfast
• Guest Chef Cooking Demonstrations, Wine Seminars and Tastings
• Seven-Course Dinner, a tasting menu paired with appropriate wines prepared by guest chefs and the inn's culinary team
• Port and Cordial Tasting

Saturday

• Adirondack breakfast
• Guest Chef Cooking Demonstrations, Wine Seminars and Tastings
• "Ready Set Cook" Competition
• Grand Tasting Reception, vintners and producers provide samplings of wines and  a variety of foods

Sunday

• Adirondack breakfast

During the four-day festival guests will meet and mingle with world-renown winemakers, chefs, oenologists and fellow food enthusiasts, and they will head for home with a file of recipes for their personal use.
