Lake Placid is the second oldest Ironman in North America and one of the most popular events in the sport. The unique course winds through the Adirondack High Peaks where athletes face big elevation swings and tackle tough mountain climbs. The race begins with a beautiful 2.4 mile swim across Mirror Lake, followed by a challenging 112-mile bike through the scenic Adirondack region and ends with a demanding 26.2 mile run through the mountains.
