This Exhibition features 38 Adirondack Chairs - each lent the artistic talents of a regional artist. The chairs will be placed at various locations in the North Country for the summer. This is the only chance to view all 38 chairs in one location until the Exhibit returns to the LPCA in mid-August.

Skaters in the 75th Annual Lake Placid Summer Figure Skating program ~ named best summer skating camp for kids by Sports Illustrated for Kids magazine! ~ participate in this weekly program. Each skater or group of skaters creates a completely original figure skating routine, including costumes, music choice, and choreography. Dates are: June 20, July 4, 11, 18, 25, August 8, 15 & 22. ADMISSION IS FREE!

These highly entertaining Ice Shows are performed most Saturday evenings in the summer at 7:30pm. Figure skaters from around the country and the world perform their competitive program, routine or group number under the spot lights in the 1932 Jack Shea Arena. Show dates are: June 21, July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 9, 16 & 23.

3 days community festival featuring music, kids rides, food demonstration, professional barbecue competition sanctioned by Kansas City Barbecue Society

Wild Adirondacks Special Events. The Wild Center in Tupper Lake. Beginning at 10:00am-5:00pm.

The 750,000 gallon pool provides the landing surface for Wet and Wild Wednesdays. Various kickers will launch the riders up to 60 feet in the air enabling them to execute various spinning and twisting tricks. The pool is aerated with bubbles to cushion the landing. Wet and Wild Wednesdays are: July 9, 16, 23 30, August 6, 13 & 20.

The top eastern jumpers sail from the 90-meter ski jump tower in a king-of-the-hill format. These athletes, aspiring to secure spots on the United States National Team, make use of Lake Placid’s artificial jumping surfaces to emulate winter speeds and distances. It’s a summer activity dating back 20 years. Soaring Saturday dates are: July 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9 & 16.
