Mirror Lake Inn

Those of you who know Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa know that we take pride in our food presentations across three diverse eateries that are among the finest in the Adirondacks.

The View Restaurant is AAA Four Diamond rated, Taste Bistro and Bar gets rave reviews from the likes of Conde Nast Traveler and The Cottage Cafe is recognized by industry publications as one of the best apres ski pubs in North America.

In the next few weeks, we have scheduled special dining events in Taste Bistro and The Cottage.

On Thursday June 12, the bistro has scheduled Ravines Wine Dinner, featuring selections from Ravines Wine Cellars in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Much like Mirror Lake Inn itself, this winery is family-owned and dedicated to the craft of fine, classical wine-making. Ravines food friendly wines will accompany the efforts of Mirror Lake Inn Executive Chef Jarrad Lang and his outstanding staff.

Our Ravines wine menu on June 12 will be served in Taste Bistro

“Ravines Wine Cellars comes to us highly regarded,” said Mirror Lake Inn dining room manager Katie Welch. “They make classical, boutique wines and we are excited to partner with them. Finger Lakes wineries have gained international respect. I think our culinary staff and Ravines’ selections will make an excellent pairing.”

Seared scallop, Harmony  Hills Farmstead Pork Pate and Kilcoyne Farms Beef Short Ribs highlight the selections, starting at 6:00.

The presentation will be made by Winebow representative Chuck Stewart of Lake Placid. The cost is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity. Please see accompanying menu. Reservations are required. Please call 518-523-2544.

Two weeks later, on June 26, The Cottage will serve up a special dinner paired with the Adirondack Brewery. That menu is currently being finalized and we will update this blog with that info next week. Cottage guests will be able to enjoy this evening inside or outside on our deck overlooking Mirror Lake.

Cottage manager Lisa Randall tells us that the evening will begin at 7:00, with a cost of $35 per person. A complimentary beer from Adirondack Brewery will follow. Make your reservation by calling 518-302-3045.

“In the meantime, visitors to The Cottage can enjoy our new menu,” said Lisa. “The tacos are a big hit as well as the flat bread pizzas. And there are daily specials.”

The Cottage has live musical entertainment lined up on June 28, at 6 PM, when Mingo and Erik from the band Big Boss Sausage entertain visitors and residents in an unparalleled lakeside and mountain view setting.
