New hiking trails in the Adirondacks


Bar none, hiking is the top recreational activity in the Adirondacks. Around the Lake Placid area, there is no shortage and the routes have become uber popular. All you have to do is take a drive out of Lake Placid on Route 73 on a weekend – any time of year – and you will see for yourself.

But in recent years, more hiking has been added to the menu, with access points just a few minutes by car from the middle of the village.
