The storm came and went; sunny and clear behind it

Much-needed rain in the Lake Placid / Adirondack region came yesterday when a significant storm blew through the area.

It was the most rain we've received in a single event this summer. Lawns will look much better now. In addition, the Mirror Lake Inn grounds and maintenance crews got some help from Mother Nature in continuing to make our property so appealing to the eye.

The system broke the heat and cleared the air. We are now going to be treated to sunny and clear conditions over the next 10 days as temps will settle into the 70s during the day and turn comfortably cool at night.

This will be great weather for hiking (the #1 activity in the region), biking, fishing, swimming, golf, etc. And don't forget the great athletic entertainment and views at the Lake Placid Olympic venues.
