The Adirondack Senior Open, part of the Sunbelt Senior Golf Tour, comes to the Whiteface Club and Resort in Lake Placid this week.
The resort is partially owned by the Mirror Lake Inn.
Nearly 30 professionals will tee it up in a 54 hole event Wednesday through Friday. Some, like Lloyd Fisher, of Grand Rapids, Mich., arrived over the weekend and got a sneak peak at the 6,500 yard track.
Fisher recently won the Connecticut Senior Open and tied for runner-up in the Michigan Senior Open.

There is a free clinic tonight at 5:00 at the Whiteface Club, given by 5-time PGA Tour winner Danny Edwards. A pro-am, with 21 teams, is set for Tuesday afternoon. The 3-day professional event takes place Wednesday through Friday, with defending champion Javier Sanchez, of Mexico, in the field.
He'll be joined by a number of players who participated in the U.S. Senior Open and the Senior British Open this season.
Admission is free all week.
