Site of 1980 Miracle on Ice is also busy in summer

The 2012 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp takes place in Lake Placid's Olympic Center from Aug. 4-11. The camp will feature 45 of America's top players under the age of 20 participating in practices, intra-squad scrimmages and exhibition games against top junior players from Finland and Sweden.

Ticket prices are nominal and can be purchased at the Olympic Center Box Office.

The U.S. National Junior Team is coached by Phil Housley, who played 21 years in the NHL.

You will be guaranteed to see some future NHLers and Olympians from all three squads. 

Multiple rinks will be in use.

If you need a hockey fix in mid summer, this is it.

The arenas are less than a mile from the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa.

AND if the weather is warm, the Olympic Center will cool you off!!
