In a recent blog post, we talked about the Lake Placid Sinfonietta's weekly Wednesday night concerts in Mid's Park on Main Street in Lake Placid.

These free performances have been well-received for many years.

Just as popular, but a more recent addition to the music scene locally, is the Tuesday night series Songs at Mirror Lake, also at Mid's Park. 

The venue is just a five minute walk from the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa.

These concerts, which started July 3, are also free and feature a different genre of music each week.

The series continues for two more weeks: Local rock night on Aug. 7 with Placid, followed by Blues and Soul Night with Ruthie Foster on Aug. 14. 

Check it out. You can't beat the setting, which overlooks Mirror Lake. There are restaurants nearby. Just grab some chow, spread a blanket, and be entertained.

And if the spirit moves your feet, give in!
