Adirondack & Champlain Valley TV personality will be a Local Guest Chef
As we hit the middle of August, this is a good time to remind our blog faithful that the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa's Local Guest Chef series will resume for the fall on Sept. 5.
Throughout September and October, we bring in area residents/local folks/all around nice people who are foodies to be a guest chef. But the Mirror Lake Inn props these chefs up for success by engaging them with our kitchen staff, lead by Executive Chef Jarrad Lang.
This is like walking into the New York Giants huddle and calling the plays with Eli Manning on your right, and Victor Cruz on your left.
In other words, the local guest chef will be a star!!

These fun evenings feature a 3-course meal at $29 per person for attendees. It's open to all.
Derek Muirden, of Mountain Lake PBS, will be a Local Guest Chef next month
Among our first commitments, we will see Derek Muirden, TV personality from Mountain Lake PBS, as local guest chef on Sept. 26. Derek's sense of food and humor has made his shows Adirondack Cuisine and Roadside Recipes very popular.
Derek (right) met with Executive Chef Jarrad Lang (left) on Aug. 22 to discuss the Sept. 26 menu. The 3-course meal will be a fall theme made from locally produced foods.
You are invited to partake in the menu, meet Derek on his night and enjoy his wit, and socialize with familiar patrons and other hotel guests.
